“Desta PLC is equipped with state of the art machines, from design to cutting, sewing, ironing, and finishing”, says Eyob Bekele, Managing Director of the company. The garment process starts with the patterning unit, which is led by an international expert. “Once the patterns are complete, we use four cutting and layering tables (high-tech cutting knife), which deliver high-quality cuts and establish the shape of the garment. The garments then move to the sewing lines, where we use SIRUBA and JUKI sewing machines. After the fashion items are cleared by the quality control unit, the finishing unit completes the process by ironing, packing and performing other finishing works.”
Embroidery
Desta provides some of the finest stitching and needlework available in Ethiopia. The embroidery unit uses sophisticated, computerized machines to produce high-quality patches and logos. “We utilize SWF and Tajima machines with a variety of configurations.”
Accessory Cords
The accessory cords unit produces different types of accessory cords, including circular and flat designs. The cords can be produced based on our client’s colour and design preferences. Several of our clients use the accessory cords for shoelaces, while others use them as draw cords for bags and sports clothing.
